Brownies

Brownies introduce girls to a world of new opportunities, challenges and fun!

Brownies is about trying new things that teach the girls about themselves, their community and their world,  The girls are aged between 7-10 yrs.

Girls in Brownies are part of a small group called a Six, led by a girl called a Sixer. This gives each girl a group of ready-made friends to take care of her. It also makes her feel that she belongs to something special. They make their own decisions about what badges and activities to do next, working together to explore their place within their local community and the world around them.

Brownies meet regularly and there are often opportunities for Brownies to take part in special activities and events throughout the year.  All Brownies are sure to try new things and take on a broad range of challenges as they explore the topics that sit within our Six Programme themes – Know Myself, Express Myself, Be Well, Have Adventures, Take Action and Skills For My Future.  They can work towards their Gold Award as well as Theme Awards and Interest badges.
