Pat Gray Salver

This salver was donated to the city of Glasgow Guide Association by the late W.M. Gray in memory of his wife, Pat Gray, who died in 1961, for the specific purpose of recognising and promoting service.

Mr and Mrs Gray were the parents of Mrs. Maureen Reid, former County Commissioner of the City of Glasgow, Scottish Chief Commissioner from 1982-1987 and our current County President.

This salver is awarded to a Unit which has undertaken a Service Project during the year (September – August).

The award is judged by The County President Mrs Maureen Reid, The County Commissioner, The Assistant County Commissioners.

It should also be noted that Units should be encouraged to participate in this award every year as service is at the heart of the Guiding programme. The project, no matter how small or large, will be recognised and valued by the Guide Association in Glasgow. The Pat Gray Salver is presented at the Annual Review in November each year.
