Fun and Feathers was an event led by our Residential team & held at Netherurd House, 23-25th March 2018.
The event saw around 120 members of Girlguiding Glasgow descend on Netherurd for a day full of fun and laughter. The girls got to meet some new feathery friends, including Lilly the Little Owl and Orion the Canadian Great Horned Owl. Some girls were even transformed into birds of prey through the magic of facepaint. The girls also had the opportunity to take part in feather themed crafts.
Sophie of the 15th Brownie Pack said she really liked holding the owls. While Zara of the 170th Brownie Pack liked taking part in the arts and crafts. Niamh of the 224th Pack encapsulated the ethos of Guiding when she said “I liked making new friends”.
Karen Fraser, Division Commisioner for South West fedback: The event was a great success and the girls had a fantastic day. There was great excitement at getting up close to a number of beautiful birds of prey. The fact the sun shone on us made it even better.
