Can you help get Glasgow growing?

Growth Working Group members wanted!

Girlguiding Glasgow would not exist without our fantastic volunteers and we appreciate all you do to help our county grow, providing more opportunities for girls to benefit from being part of Girlguiding.

To keep up the momentum of Glasgow’s growing membership, we are recruiting for two working groups to support growth. One group will focus on supporting our 5 divisions north of the Clyde, and the other will support the growth of our 3 divisions south of the river. There will be 10 roles in total, 5 for the North Growth Working Group and 5 for the South Growth Working Group.

Growth Working Group Member Role Description:

5x North of Glasgow  & 5x South of Glasgow

In this role you will be a part of a team focused on exploring new ideas for how we can provide more girls with the opportunity to be a part of Girlguiding, expanding Girlguiding in to areas with no current units, supporting new units opening and spreading the word about Girlguiding to raise its profile in your area of our amazing county.

Expected Commitment: Attend quarterly meetings of working group, engage with your team and work on projects between meetings. The estimated length of quarterly meetings is two hours and can be arranged on either evenings or weekends depending on member’s preferences. The length of the role will start at 12 months with the option of extending.

Get in touch: All are welcome to apply and we’d be particularly interested to hearfrom anyone with a passion for growing guiding, enthusiasm for new projects, relationship building, team work and is looking for a new experience in Guiding.

If you would like to be a part of either working group, please email amy@girlguiding-scot.org.uk by Saturday 2 June indicating which working group you’d like to be a part of (if you have a preference) and a brief outline of your experience in Girlguiding. Please also include some info on why you would like to be a part of our first growth working groups, including any skills you think you can bring to the group and any ideas you have to Get Glasgow Growing.
