There may be times when you need to have a challenging or sensitive conversation with a volunteer about additional support, to ensure they are happy in their role and performing to the best of their ability.
As a Leader or Commissioner you need to get to know each person well, so make time to talk to them and be aware of their circumstances both in and outside of guiding. You can then build up a relationship with them and – by keeping in touch regularly – offer help and assistance if they need it.
This training session will help Leaders and Commissioners to handle difficult situations which might arise in their roles and give you the tools and techniques to approach them.
