I hope everyone had a good break over Christmas and New Year and you are all raring to go for 2017! The next Division Meeting will be on Wednesday 1st February at 7.30pm at Carntyne Church Hall.
If you have any questions about the Unit Accounts package please bring your accounts along and we will have a look at them and try to solve any problems.
Very few people responded about Safe Space, so we did not have enough for a Division training, but there is a Safe Space training on Saturday 11February at 10am in Elmbank Street and I would encourage you to sign up for that if you have not already done the course. You can sign up at the Girlguiding Glasgow website here
I hope to see you on 1st February but if you can’t make it please let me know and I will make sure you get notes after the meeting.
All the best

Happy New Year I hope everyone had a great time over the festive period and are all refreshed for the new session ahead. Let’s hope that 2017 gives us all the time and health to achieve what we want to both personally and in Guiding.
As I write this I am just back from spending a fabulous, planning weekend with the Glasgow County Team on how we can take our county forward, deliver wow events and support you and your units in this coming year and beyond. Thanks to the other South East Members Kirstyn, Jade, Aimee and Anna and of course Jill who joined me, I am sure your To-Do Lists have also grown.
Could all unit leaders ensure that their girls details are accurate & complete.and check that their own details are correct? Please let me know of any required role changes to adult records.
The first county event for 2017 is our Thinking Day Celebrations on 18th February, please see the website for more details on how to apply. As it is ‘on our doorstep’ I hope to see many of you there.
I am still working on arranging a Safe Space Training and a First Response Refresher Training within the division, however if you are working on your Adult Leadership Qualification can I encourage you to consider the county organised ones.
Happy Guiding

The arrangements for our Division Trip to Dalguise are well under way and further details will be issued in the coming weeks. In the meantime I can confirm that the parents night will take place on Thursday 23rd February at 7.30pm in Clincarthill Church
There are a number of county events coming up – details should be in the newsletter and the website. It would be god to know how many units are considering he Rainbow and Brownie Trips so we can investigate the possibility of buses – please let Shona know.
Finally as many of you know, Maria Giergel is leaving the Rainbows and Guides in Newlands and moving to Denmark next month – I am sure you will join us in wishing her well

Hello everyone, and welcome back after the festive break!
The first division meeting of 2017 will be held on Wednesday 25th January at Pollokshields Church of Scotland. We’ll start at 7:30pm and while a proper agenda will come out next week the main thing we’ll cover is sorting out what we want to do at the rest of the division meetings this year. We are keen that they are not just about us giving a download from the county meeting, but are opportunities to connect with other Guiders in the division, learn new skills and refresh old ones. We’ll also be going over our wider plan for the year and talking about some of the changes coming up including the launch of a new program.
Census time is fast approaching and trial invoices will be available from the 24th January. Please make sure your GO! records are up to date and let us know if you need any changes to your unit team or general support with this. Accounts will follow close behind so now is the time to get on top of your admin if you aren’t already.
Happy Guiding!

Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed your break over the Festive Period and are now re charged to begin the new session ahead. A wee reminder that Annual Census will soon be due £35.00. Can you please check your GO and remove any girls who have not attended your unit for a while as I would not like for you to pay for them if they are not attending. There will be no Division Meeting this month our next meeting will be on Tuesday 14 February (Apologies I know it is Valentines Day). Please see email which was sent out early January which has a lot of information in it. If you are unable to make the Division Meeting then please let me know. Have a good January.

Finally, congratulations to Jane Kemp of 263rd Rainbows on completion of her ALQ.

Well done Lauren for all your hard work. There Is still time if your unit would like to participate.
Could i ask everyone to check their records on GO. Please Ensure qualifications are all Entered. If any changes are required please notify your District Commissioner.
