Activities

The campsite is a great natural environment for groups to enjoy, but there are endless possibilities for things to do. Have a look at the details of what there is to do on site and out and about in the local area. Of course, you’re also welcome to bring your own equipment on site, such as mobile abseiling, crazy golf, assault courses, hire bubble football and so on. There’s plenty of space!

On Site

We have a games hut containing  a range of equipment including:

  • Bats
  • Balls
  • Base markers
  • Ropes
  • Giant Jenga
  • Giant Connect4

and a number of activities to encourage team work.

Of course, some of the best activities the campsite has to offer on site are the simplest; girls of all ages enjoy a walk to the loch and throwing stones on the pebble beach.
Stargazing:  the campsite is an area of limited light meaning that the stars are “out of this world”
Due to the size and security of the site wide games and treasure hunts are great- even more fun with a torch at night!

On the campsite we have fire places available for open cooking, and the opportunity to hold a campfire under the stars is one not to be missed.

Out & About

The village of Gartocharn has a shop and play area which are within easy walking distance, great for a scavenger or treasure hunt on the way there! The site is also only a short walk from the Loch where a pebble beach awaits .

For those wanting to explore further the campsite makes an ideal base for exploring the National Park whilst Glasgow and Stirling are within travelling distance.

Duncryne Horseriding is close.

Duncryne Hill affectionately known as ‘The Dumpling’ is available to walk if leaders have the necessary walking qualifications.

The site is 10 minutes by car from the town of Balloch (there is also a bus service available a short walk from the campsite).

Why not visit Loch Lomond?

RSPB Loch Lomond is close to site and can be contacted for activities.

Loch Lomond Shores offers outdoor and indoor activities including canoeing, pedalos, Bird of Prey, Segway’s, high ropes course.

The Sea Life Centre @ Loch Lomond might offer you the chance to bring starfish to your event!

PLEASE NOTE – no swimming is allowed in the Loch.
